Tobias Harris keeps getting traded midseason. This is the third time, right before the trade deadline, that his old team didn’t want him that much anymore and his new team did. What’s going on? I might be the biggest Tobey Bear homer in the world, but even when looking at things objectively I can’t see anything wrong with him, especially nothing so wrong that it would necessitate him being traded.
I can admit that at this point, he’s just another guy. He’s on the high end of “guys”, and on the absolute highest end of “guys who play like Carmelo Anthony”, behind only Carmelo Anthony, but he’s still just kind of there. Not very exciting besides the games where he gets hot scoring the ball.
The Clippers commentators seemed to like him a lot this game, though. They kept chuckling to themselves like little girls after he scored, like they were crushing on him or something. I don’t blame them. They’ve had to endure the corpse of Danilo Gallinari being injured for so many weeks now that any competent small forward probably looks like a gift sent straight down from god. Plus, 24 points is pretty good.
