I have watched a fair amount of the Nets the season, and I am of the opinion that Jarrett Allen increases the funness of any game he enters by at least a factor of two. As soon as he checks in, maybe the game was a little boring, maybe dragging a little bit, but he checks in and all of a sudden things start happening. Things involving that gigantic hair sphere on his head, and the equally-sized orange sphere in his hands. I’m guessing that attendance at Nets games would be roughly 55 paying customers per game, plus cheerleaders, if Allen wasn’t around to captivate and astound with his spindly arms and vintage countenance.
Using the parlance of our times, this was a “dunk fest” for Allen tonight. He dunked it a whole lot, some of the dunks were kind of wimpy to be honest, but he made up for those with a devastating poster shmush on Lauri “Finnished” Markkanen, who foolishly tried to take a charge instead of contesting and then compounded the problem by flopping like a softie white Euro tissue-papery emasculated softie.
Not to spoil anything, but that particular dunk is going in my end-of-month dunkilation. Not going to say where, though. Top 50, probably.
