I don’t know why Khris “Khash Money Deuces” Middleton traded in his three-point shooting for a devastating turnaround midrange fader, since three is definitely worth more than two, but he did. I also didn’t know there was a marketplace where NBA players could trade their skills for other skills. Can Thon Maker please trade his jumper for the ability to catch a god-damn ball please? Thank you.
Middleton’s iffy three-ball has caused me lots of anguish this year. He used to be money from out there, but now he can only hit them if the Bucks are down by a million points or he’s being tightly guarded. He had a bunch of wide open looks this game, and he bricked them all, just like the last few games. I love those Kobe-esque fadeaways, but I loved even more his ability to score from outside. That’s what the Bucks need more than anything, and when he’s not hitting, the Bucks play an ugly brand of basketball. Those fadeaways rock, but they don’t help ball movement. At all.
