I might have given up on my dream of seeing Tobias Harris average twenty points per game this season, but I can get partial fulfillment of that dream if he can at least average twenty PPG for the part of the season that he’s spent with the Clippers. After this game he’s sitting at 19.6, so not only is it extremely possible that this happens, but I would categorize it as extremely likely. Sure, he’s actually playing second banana to Lou Williams, but the Clippers’ roster is bereft of “scorers”, so it’s basically a two-man show unless Harrell gets significant minutes or Tyrone Wallace appears out of nowhere to score some points. Also, Tobes chucked 24 shots this game for his 27 points, which shows that he is willing to shoulder the shot-taking load if needed (and it is needed).
