Briante Weber Career High 15 Points Full Highlights (3/19/2018)

Goodbye Xavier Rathan-Mayes. Hello Briante Weber! An old friend makes his return to Memphis, where he started his career. I admit, I thought he was still with the Rockets on a two-way or something. Nope! Apparently I can no longer pride myself on knowing all the various comings and goings of all the end-of-bench scrubs in the NBA, because this is the third or fourth time I’ve totally missed a signing until a boxscore is staring me in the face.

I would’ve hoped that a team that he hadn’t played for yet would pick him up. 6 teams in 3 years would give him a better chance at breaking the “most teams played for” record.

Weber played 20 minutes in each of the last two Grizzlies games, but didn’t really make his presence felt, shooting 1-of-2 in each game. Here, he was aggressive trying to score the ball. Passing the ball, not really, as you can see in this video. Basically every bucket is him dribbling around outside the arc before darting inside to take a shot. It seriously looked like he was in the G-League, just playing solely to improve his own stats. Not saying that’s what he was doing, just saying that’s what it looked like.
