I don’t feel as bad about the Bucks giving up on Gerald Green way too quickly now that he’s come back down to earth and isn’t scoring 20 points per game anymore. It was still a bad decision, but hey, we have Brandon Jennings now, who is just as swaggy but has the added bonus of bringing some slightly resentful nostalgia to their season.
The Rockets make him look way better than most teams ever could, anyway. He’s perfect for them, and even if he is kinda sucking right now, he can still make his presence felt at times. Like tonight. 25 points, the most he’s scored in the months between his sudden re-emergence and now. Remember how excited you were when he was splashing threes right after getting signed? That’s how excited you should be now, except tempered by the fact that his percentages just keep going down.
The best thing about all this is he’s probably going to end up with a championship ring. Just think about that for a moment, and then try and stop grinning like a maniac. Hard to do.
