MarShon Brooks 21 Points Grizzlies Debut Full Highlights (3/28/2018)

MarShon “Mar$wag” Brooks is back. I can’t believe it. Last time he played in an NBA game, he was backing up Kendall Marshall for the Lakers, Obama was still president and would be for a few more years, and a whole bunch of newsy stuff happened that seemed important at the time but now I can’t even remember it.

I’m just happy that I get to use my (actually this is one of the ones I don’t think I created) nickname for him again. “Mar$wag”. Pronounced Mar-dollar-wag.

First observation: he looks WAY older than I remember. That makes sense, since he’s been gone for four years now, but it was startling to me. His time in China must have taken its toll. He looked so young before!

Second observation: he still really likes scoring the basketball. Those who followed his China career won’t be surprised, and neither should anyone else, because that’s what he was drafted to do, and all those Frobe comparisons didn’t get made for no reason.

Third observation: where’s the fro? Can’t emulate Frobe without the fro.

This is one of the best performances of the year, in my opinion. 21 points, 5 threes in about 20 minutes of action, leading the blatantly-tanking Grizzlies to a win over the Trailblazers with his fourth-quarter heroics. As I said, I can’t believe it. I’m so happy right now.
