I am slightly disappointed that this career-high performance by Shaquille Harrison, one that there is no guarantee of him ever surpassing, consists entirely of layups (more like LAMEups am I right?) and dunks. This might end up being the most enduring testament to mini-Shaq’s career in the NBA, and I kind of wanted it to be more exciting than this. The joy I get from such a well-named scrub scoring 17 in a real NBA game is great, but it would be enhanced by a jumper or two.
I guess it makes his name-induced comparison with a certain superstar bigman even more accurate. That’s cool, sort of. It’s just that, if the Clippers could defend in transition at all, he’d have 4 points. He didn’t do much creating in the halfcourt, unlike, say, MarShoon Brooks, who has quickly surpassed Harrison as my favorite scrub.
Sorry to be dissing him so much, it’s really cool that he scored 17, really. I live for this kind of stuff. But as I get older, layups are failing to excite me.
