I don’t know how the Nuggets won this one, but they did, so that means their chances to make the playoffs probably didn’t get worse. I’m not sure about that, though. It’s very possible that due to strange mathematical happenings (maybe something to do with quantums?????) that their chances for some postseason action went down. I’m not the guy to ask about this sort of stuff.
Nikola Jokic had a quiet game compared to Paul Millsap (who is the reason the Nuggets might not make the playoffs), who scored 36 compared to Jokic’s 23. I think the commentators were, as they often do, getting a little antsy about his (Jokic’s) lack of touches at points during the game. That Scott Hastings guy always offers his advice about what the Nuggets should be doing, and since he was a long-careered bigman in the NBA, that advice is usually “get it to Yoke in the post”.
If he had his way, I think the whole game would be nothing but a series of Jokic postups. That would be really cool, actually. Maybe once the Nuggets are out of the playoffs for real they can try it out. 50 points? 20 assists? Both? Oh man.
