Philly fans are probably tired of people pointing this out, but I haven’t personally pointed it out yet so I’m in the clear: the 76ers shot 18 of 28 from the threezone in this game. That’s part of the reason that they dropped 74 points in the second half. Shooting a high percentage from three on high volume is a one-way ticket to winville, but they probably won’t be able to keep up that hot shooting. I anticipate that the next few games in this series will be closer. That’s not a very bold prediction, but when people make really hot, really specific takes, they’re wrong more often than not so I like to avoid that.
Dario Saric himself was 4 of 6 from three, even though his form is really flat and it doesn’t seem like it should work as well as it does. His rookie season, he shot 31% from three, and I chalked it up to him not getting enough arc on the ball. Well, he still doesn’t get any arc on the ball but now he shoots 40% from three, so I’m going to have to carefully examine my opinions for defects. That’s an uncomfortable process for me so I’ll probably just pretend I did it but then keep my same defective opinions even if they’re wrong.
