The playoffs are here! And for Toronto fans, that means one thing: DeMar DeRozan turning into DePressed DeFrozen and Kyle Lowry turning into Pyle OfPoop and needing their teammates to bail them out. I would use the “Trash Brothers” nickname for them, but it is currently being appropriated by C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard. They can have it back for the second round.
Yeah, even with them sucking, the Raptors have enough other stuff going on to keep winning games anyway. Other stuff including Delon Wright who has probably seen more playoff success with this one than his brother Dorell had in his entire career. Just looked it up and yup, Dorell’s playoff career-high was 15. I hope he’s not butthurt about getting so quickly outplayed by his little bro.
Wright had been limited in his production as the regular season finished up, so it was a surprise to see him come out and immediately start kicking butt. This is his best scoring game in about 4 months, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Raptors were looking vulnerable for a big chunk of this game, and he hit some really timely shots to keep things under control.
