Torrey Craig is a starter on the best team in the West. Is that messed up or what? Even in today’s NBA, that means defense means something. Because let’s just say he wasn’t the 2017 NBL (that’s Australia for you cretins) DPOY for no reason. Also he was MVP of that league in 2015 which is crazy to me. How did he average 20 points per game? Aussies/Kiwis, explain yourselves.
Even in the NBA, he can sometimes get it done on the offensive end, like tonight. But he doesn’t need to. The Nuggets have enough offensive ball-in-hole people that he can usually just play his defense, grab some rebounds (he had 16 the game before this), and be a nice, low-usage role-player. Every good team needs one of those in their starting lineup, and they will until the NBA moves to my patented “Two Ball” system.
Basically the Two Ball system is where you have two basketballs in play at all times instead of one. The scoring can get a little a hectic, and sometimes the game devolves into both teams standing under their own basket and putting the ball through it as fast as they can (possession doesn’t change after made baskets you dummy, not in my patented Two Ball system). Scores can get a little ridiculous, obviously. At least they do at the YMCA where I tried this out. Maybe NBA coaches can develop some better strategies.
