Last season, Jerami Grant had 70 dunks. That should have been enough for a Jerami Grant Dunkilation, but either I didn’t realize that he had that many dunks, or I did realize and was too lazy to do anything about it. Whatever the reason, a dunkilation didn’t happen and an entire season’s worth of spectacular whammy-blams is now buried beneath the encroaching sand-dunes of time.
This season, in roughly half the number of games, Grant has 68 dunks. Barring unforseen circumstances like an injury (either to him or to Chucksell Statpadbrook), Grant should be able to comfortably surpass the 100-dunk bar and basically guarantee himself a dunkilation. Not every 100-dunk dunker necessarily gets one, because there are some boring dunkers out there who nobody cares to see, but I feel like the quality of Grant’s slam-jammage is high enough to warrant a full dunk compilation (“dunkilation”) at the end of the season.
It will also be tempting for me to create the accompanying Jerian Grant dunkilation at the end of this season. The lesser Grant has one dunk this year. That means I don’t have to do a lot of editing work. A highlight video with just one clip still counts as a highlight video right? Yeah. I think it does.
