DeMarre Carroll 22 Points Full Highlights (1/16/2019)

Am I the only one loving this ref-induced no-defense NBA? I keep seeing complaints about the high-scoring nature of today’s game, but I’m like a kid in a candy store with all these big numbers. Imagine telling someone from fifteen years ago that the Nets would be scoring 145 points in a game and still barely winning. I say fifteen years ago because that’s around when the Nets were losing a Finals series against the Spurs with scores of 89, 87 (two point win), 79, 77 (one point win), 83, and 77. The Spurs scored above 100 in the first game and that was it for “big” scoring games. You can’t tell me that you don’t like these high-powered offenses over watching “defense” and “Kenyon Martin is the best player for the Nets”.

Spencer Dinwiddie gets a lot of the credit for this exciting win, but let’s not forget about DeMarre Carroll (you forgot about him, didn’t you). He scored 22! If he had scored zero, which is something he totally would’ve done in Toronto (they didn’t have him as part of the “trash brothers” for nothing), this would’ve been an easy win for the Rockets. He did a bunch of stuff in the fourth quarter that let the Nets stay close enough for Dinwiddie to steal the game.
