It’s official: for the first time in his career, Nikola Jokic is an All-Star. I’m a little peeved about the dunk contest snub (get it, because he hardly ever dunks even though he’s seven feet tall LMAO!!!!!!), but I’m excited that he’ll get to be the antithesis of All-Star-Game-type basketball during the game itself. I guess last year broke from tradition and it wasn’t just a run and dunk exhibition, which is good for Jokic. He would look pretty out of place in such an environment.
Since he’s, officially, with official officiality, an All-Star, now would be a good time to lessen my workload and finally remove him from my channel. HA! Never. I’m committed now. I’m not committed to someone like Luka Doncic (why wasn’t he an All-Star GOD DAMMIT just go away your videos take way too much time), but Jokic, he’s special. Besides, I don’t think his beef with Jusuf Nurkic is fully concluded yet. Not even close.
Jokic has established himself as a semi-legit MVP candidate this year. Those MVP chants you hear at the end of this one? Oftentimes such chants are slightly ironic, or patronizing, or whatever. Not this time. The Nuggets are one of the best teams in the league, and Jokic is almost averaging a 20-10 triple-double (those 2.3 assists per game are gonna be tough to pick up by the end of the season), leading the way. He could’ve done a little bit more in this game to get the triple-double, but at least we know that he’s not a blatant statpadder, unlike some players who shall not be named who get lots of triple-doubles.
