Justin Holiday 19 Points Full Highlights (2/3/2019)

The Grizzlies’ acquisition of Justin Holiday has not really worked out so far. It took him 5 games to even make a three for them (and it’s not like he wasn’t trying), he had an 0-for-10 performance from the field in a 2-point loss a few games ago, and he’s only been involved in three wins. Don’t look at his basketball-reference page unless you pregamed too many beers before the Super Bowl and want to get them out of your system before the real fun starts.

Luckily for the Grizzlies, they didn’t give up too much to get him, but at this point any payment is looking too high. Wayne Selden has been surprisingly decent for the Bulls I guess, and I don’t know what MarShon Brooks is doing (man he was so good last year what happened?????). Future second round picks are good in theory, but packaging them up for someone who is a proven contributor on an NBA level (like Holiday) isn’t a bad idea. No matter how much fanbases overrate them.

It goes without saying that this is Holiday’s best game with his new team. It’s also his best scoring game since December, which says a lot about what the Bulls were thinking about him when they traded him. Man, I miss those days at the beginning of last season where he was a better scorer than Jrue, but only because he was allowed to chuck anything he wanted any time he wanted.
