Marvin Williams 27 Points Full Highlights (2/9/2019)

You know it’s a bad sign for the rest of the night when the first video that DownToBuck uploads, out of all the available possible performances, is Marvin Williams. Like, under normal circumstances, any W-Marv video should be able to wait until at least the fifth or sixth uploadment of the night. Sorry everybody, but it seems like it’s all downhill from here. Strap yourselves in, because a few hours from now, I’ll be uploading “Jocko McDick 12 Turnovers/1 Fart Full Highlights (2/9/2019)”, and I won’t have a say in the matter.

Truthfully, it’s not as bad as it seems. This is the best performance Williams has had in a very long time. The last time he scored more points than this was way back in the 2011-12 season, when he was still with Atlanta, the team that drafted him second overall (I’m not going to let people forget about that). He had a handful of games of this caliber with the Hornets as well, so this isn’t totally unprecedented, but still. It’s Marvin Williams we’re talking about here. One of the most forgotten starters in the league, hitting 12 shots including all of his two-point attempts.

The high point of this video is where he kinda dunks on Alex Len, prompting Hornets commentator Dell Curry to attempt to give him a score of 100 out of 10 like it’s some sort of dunk contest. Personally, I wouldn’t go higher than a 50, and I question Curry’s ability to accurately judge dunks given that he was not a prolific dunker as an NBA player. 50 out of 10 is still really good though, good enough to win any dunk contest besides the one Blake Griffin had rigged in his favor.
