This video of Kevin Knox scoring nineteen points on eighteen shots might not seem like it is packed with historical significance, but I assure you, this video is so historically significant it makes all the world wars and presidential assassinations look like nothing. When somebody tells you that you’re “watching history”, usually they’re lying. Very few things are actually “historical” in the grand scheme of things, no matter how important they seem to be at the time they’re happening. But, I’m telling you right now, this video is of such earth-shattering import that when you grandkids find out that you saw it in the day immediately after its release, they’re never gonna stop asking you about it.
This is the sixth Knicks video I’ve made in a row.
That’s totally mind-blowing, isn’t it? I don’t even know if I’ve done five vids in a row from the same time. If I’ve done four in a row, it’s only been one or twice in my long and storied career as a purveyor of NBA highlights. Six is just mind-blowing. To have six players from a single team all have highlight-worthy performances is already extremely unlikely, never mention the fact that my eligibility rules will disqualify most star players from a video.
I don’t want to sound self-important, but you might want to take a photo of your screen right now if the view count for this video is anywhere from the single digits to the low thousands. To be able to verify that you were one of the first viewers of this momentous video which will alter the course of human civilization forever is an opportunity you absolutely cannot pass up.
