It kinda pains me to bring it up, but is Kyle Korver just getting uglier as time goes on? Normally it’s the other way around, where weird-looking dudes come into the NBA as a rookies looking all weird and then a few years later they’re all handsome and muscly and have appropriate haircuts (thinking Kevin Love here). It’s the opposite with Korver. He was handsome and suave already as a rookie, even with a somewhat iffy haircut. And he stayed that way for a long time, but now… does his face look lumpy? I think there’s lumpy/protruding bits of his face that weren’t there before. Steroids? I wouldn’t be surprised.
He’s still good-looking enough to steal my girlfriends (god damn it), but perhaps is ability to do so is diminishing over time. At least, he’ll have to flash a huge stack of 100’s before they’re really convinced to abandon my skinny ass for a guy who’s making millions but kind of looks like he’s un-evolving. Does he even look like Ashton Kutcher anymore? Maybe Kutcher is having the same problem.
His shot still looks good, though. That part of him hasn’t changed at all. And since that’s theoretically the most important part of his game, way more important than his physical appearance, we can guess that he’ll be in the NBA for as long as his legs will still move him around the court with any sort of speed. I’m still waiting for the Bucks to get him, he spurned us a few years ago to sign with the Hawks and I’m still mad.
