I will admit that I had not seen the music video for Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long” until just now. DTB doesn’t stay up on current pop trends at all, and his only knowledge of yesteryear’s pop comes from Rickrolling and TV commercials. After watching the video (which was just a bunch of people doing 80’s dance moves with the chorus repeating over and over and over), I can honestly say that I don’t even remember ever hearing the song before. It was a brand new song to me. My cultural literacy is negative when it comes to pop hits.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter because Stacey King has moved on to other Lionel Richie songs that he sings whenever Otto Porter does something especially noteworthy. I feel like I have to catch up on Richie’s entire back discography to have a hope of keeping up with King’s commentary techniques. But I don’t have time to catch up on Richie’s entire back discography because there’s so much mid-90’s obscure Swedish melodeath that I haven’t listened to yet, not to mention the Australian war metal scene which I’ve barely even tapped into. There’s not enough time in the day to listen to all the music I want AND make highlight videos AND pet Japurri AND contemplated a near future when the Bulls with their young core of high-upside players are challenging the Bucks for supremacy in the division.
