Frank Kaminsky 21 Points Full Highlights (4/3/2019)

Let’s cut straight to the chase: Frank Kaminsky’s nickname is no longer “Frank the Tank”. That was a bad nickname for him, and it’s better used on Frank Ntilikina because whenever he plays he “tanks” the Knicks lineup. Kaminsky’s new nickname is “K-Man”, in honor of Mike Gminski (whose last name rhymes with “Kaminsky”), whose nickname was “G-Man”. I’m going to need you all to go and watch LamarMatic’s highlights of Gminski scoring 41 while with the Nets back in 1986. I would link you the video, but I wouldn’t be able to resist making into a Rickroll, so you’ll have to do the legwork yourself.

The K-Man had his best scoring game of the season here against the Pelicans, even though Anthony Davis wasn’t around to get dominated by him again (don’t you remember K-Man’s performance earlier in the season where he dominated AD come on man this is like DTB 101). The Hornets dusted him off a few weeks ago, presumably because his ability to perform in big situations (thinking back to his college days here) would help them during their “playoff push”. It didn’t end up being much of a push, and the Hornets are now facing long odds to get even the 8th seed.

It’s cliche, but you know what my advice for the Hornets would be, were I able to go back in time to the beginning of the season and if they for some reason listened to the silver-clad time-traveler stepping out of a time machine with a picture of Ersan Ilyasova wearing sunglasses blazoned on his shield and blood dripping from his temporal sword: play Frank Kaminsky more. Play him more, and give him more touches. All the touches he wants. The threat of my gleaming steel would be enough to convince them, I think.

I swear I said I wouldn’t mess around with time after what happened to Jennifer, but I’m getting really tempted right now. The time machine sitting in the corner of my apartment looks more tempting than ever. Who doesn’t want to see the Hornets in the playoffs with Kaminsky being the legit second option behind Kemba Walker and averaging 18 points per game? I am in a position to make this happen, but do I dare…
