Thaddeus Young 21 Points Full Highlights (4/3/2019)

Okay, not much time for this one (but I’m not done with these highlights, no sir), but I just want to say that Thaddeus Young continues being super underrated. He’s been underrated the whole time, literally the WHOLE TIME he’s been in the NBA, over a decade of being underrated, and there’s no sign that he will receive recognition in Indiana. Even if he is going to end up being an 82-game starter for one of the better teams in the East.

Is it because he doesn’t shoot enough jumpers? It has to be, because he has some sweet finishing moves. But since when does a power forward need to shoot jumpers anyway? He has been flirting with shooting a few threes for big chunks of his career, but for other chunks he has resisted falling into the “stretch four” trap that so many bigs fall into.

Also, there’s no way, no way at all, that Thon Maker was going to be able to hold him. That was just foolish optimism on the part of Dwayne Casey. What’s that stick figure going to do against the beefed-out cheesesteak that is Young?
