Jamal Crawford 27 Points/6 Assists Full Highlights (4/7/2019)

Jamal Crawford is sending a message right now. And that message is “please sign me to a contract”. Other, ancillary messages include “I really want to keep playing basketball”, “My life will become meaningless without the day-to-day structure provided by the NBA”, and “I’m a good veteran presence for a rebuilding team, please, I’m begging you!”.

He’s almost got me convinced. If the Bucks, after winning the championship this year, decide that they want a veteran presence to replace Jason Terry, which would be silly because they won a chip without really having a veteran presence at all (Pau Gasol DOES NOT COUNT), but if they decided that, they could do worse than Crawford. As long as he didn’t ever play, I’d be fine with it.

And for an actual crappy team, like the Knicks or something, he can do just what he did for the Suns this year, which was tell Devin Booker how to be a total chucker. But instead of telling that to Booker, he can tell it to Dennis Smith Jr., now doesn’t that sound like a great plan or what? I’m sure Knicks fans have fond memories of Crawford, he probably hit some game winners and stuff for them once upon a time.

Consecutive games of 28 and 27 points. Ignoring the fact that he literally cannot play defense anymore, that’s some serious offensive production. He took a lot of shots to get there, but since when have we criticized him for taking lots of shots? “Taking lots of shots” is his whole career summed up in one concise package.
