Monte Morris Career High 22 Points Full Highlights (4/9/2019)

Wow, had I realized that this was a career-high performance for Monte Morris, I would’ve gotten this video up a lot sooner. A LOT sooner. What am I doing messing around with players barely scoring in double digits when I could showcase an ultra-talented sophomore (basically a rookie, damn those three games he played last year) scoring more points than he ever has before? This was a serious oversight on my part, and I’m sorry.

Part of the problem was that he’s almost too good for me to notice him scoring 22 points. That may sound weird, since this is a career high and all, but hear me out. I know all about his assist-to-turnover ratio, and so do you, hopefully. Short version: it’s one of the best of all time, after he had literally the best a/to ratio of all time in college. That fact skews my perception way above what it would normally be if he were just a regular PG. Like, my thought process was “only 22 points, that can wait, Monte Morris is a serious baller who is way underrated among all the young talent on the Nuggets and I would rather have him right now than Gary Harris #hypedforgaryharris”. That was literally what I thought.

Supposedly the Nuggets are tanking right now for playoff seed reasons, so I wouldn’t be too concerned about this loss. I would be too concerned, however, for Nikola Jokic’s play this game. How do you foul out so quickly? Is Rudy Gobert too much of a man for you? Preposterous.
