If this game is any indication, the center rotation for the Philadelphia 76ers in the playoffs will consist of these players:
-Boban Marjanovic
-Greg Monroe
-Amir Johnson
I don’t know about you, but when I read that list, I start getting HYPED. It’s got it all, the gigantic Euro monster who also has SKILLS, the old-school post-up threat, and the savvy veteran. That’s, like, the three types of centers in the NBA, and the 76ers have them already on their roster, ready to go for the ‘offs. What team are they playing in the first round? Doesn’t matter. Whatever wimpy center their opponent has won’t be able to handle that three-headed monster of centrical devastation.
Did I mention that Marjanovic has SKILLS? I think I did, but in case I didn’t: he’s not just some big white stiff. He can dribble between his legs without turning it over. He can hit threes, and not just hit rim or backboard, but actually make the shot. He can pass so well that the scorekeepers are forced to give him an assist. Being Serbian is a skill, by my definition, so he has that one too. There are some other NBA skills that he doesn’t have, probably, but I can’t think of them right now.
