Bryn Forbes 20 Points Full Highlights (10/23/2019)

This is the year, THIS IS THE YEAR (note the capital letters for emphasis) that Bryn Forbes is basically Stephen Curry 0.6 and proves it by slowly working his way up the Spurs’ pecking order until he’s the second option ahead of DeMar DeRozan (who is not any version of Stephen Curry but is actually Michael Jordan 0.0002). I’m thinking with my head, and I’m not coming up with any players that are as Curry-like as Forbes. Sure, there’s players like Damian Lillard (who is really his own player at this point) or Seth Curry (not very Curry-like despite the name and appearance). But Forbes is on another level of imitating the former MVP and king of shooting threes.

I will always be optimistic for Forbes. How can you not be? Undrafted midget shooter playing for one of the most solid franchises in the league who has a name that sounds like it should be reserved for Welsh females (which he is not unless he says he is in which case can we really disagree)? If the league had any sense at all, they’d be pushing this guy hard. Commercials, Wheatie boxes, trips to China (or somewhere else), this guy could at least be one of the secondary faces of the league.

Perhaps they’re waiting for him to score 20 points per game. That’s fair. But here’s the deal: Forbes is averaging 20 points per game RIGHT NOW. The sample size may not be very big, but you can’t argue with the math. That’s the deal with math; it provides only truth and is unassailable. And the math says that Forbes scores 20 points every game that he plays in.
