Kelly Oubre 23 Points Full Highlights (10/25/2019)

All the happiness and fun caused by the Suns dominant opening-night win against the Kings is gone now. I warned Suns fans not to get too excited, and I was right to warn them, but I didn’t expect how this would all play out. I just sorta figured that they would regress back to their crappy mean, all the vets they signed wouldn’t pan out, and things would fizzle out entirely by the middle of November. I wasn’t anticipating that their number one overall center would get busted for taking drugs to make his pee clear.

It’s a good thing Deandre Ayton took them, though, because now we’ll never really know what kind of high-class designer ‘roids he was on and he can always say that he just wanted to increase his urine output because he has a thing for golden showers (like J.J. Redick, never forget, I’m never gonna let people forget that tidbit frickin’ EVER).

So yeah, the Suns’ season has hit some turbulence pretty quickly, but it’s still salvageable. They almost stole this win in Denver which would’ve added a lot of credibility to the idea that maybe they’re a fringe playoff team this season. They’re gonna need people to step up, though. And it can’t be Devin Booker, which is everyone’s first idea, because he already said that he doesn’t care about scoring 50 anymore.

Kelly Oubre, though? Maybe he can be the one to step up. He’s certainly off to a good start this season, scoring 20+ in both games. I’m not sure how much further up he can go, since he’s more of an opportunistic scorer than a real shot-creator (Devin please I’m begging you just shoot 30 shots a game like the old days), but with Ricky Rubio in the fold, if he just cuts to the basket a bunch he can get a lot of points that way.

Aron Baynes could also step up, but you and I both know that isn’t going to happen. All of Australia.
