Hornets fans seem to think that this guy is not actually good, but I don’t know where they got that idea, because when I watch this video I see nothing but buckets. It’s like he never misses. Falsehoods peddled by fake news sites like basketball-reference.com and nba.com may indicate that he misses shots. Lies. The only media outlet you can trust with basketball-related information is DownToBuck. DownToBuck is truth. Truth is DownToBuck. The two concepts are intertwined inextricably.
Now that we have determined that Bacon’s last two games where he shot 1-for-6 and 1-for-8 did not happen in the way presented by the NBA’s official stats, we can look at this incredible 10-bucket performance. Normally, when a player like Bacon gets a new career high, it’s because they took a bunch of threes and a bunch of them went in. It almost feels like cheating, being able to rack up huge point totals just be standing behind the arc and firing away.
Not Bacon.
He took it HARD in the PAINT. And if he wasn’t doing that, he was taking AESTHETIC midrange jumpers in the style of Hornets owner Michael Jordan. He took some threes, but you could tell his heart wasn’t in them, and they didn’t end up being counted as misses anyway because of reasons. Remember, truth and DownToBuck are one and the same.
