Duncan Robinson Career High 29 Points/9 Threes Full Highlights (11/20/2019)

It may come as surprise to some people, but Duncan Robinson’s 9 made threes is tied for the most in a single game in the league so far this season. Isn’t that surprising? This is the modern NBA. Everyone shoots threes, everyone shoots a lot of threes, you’d think that someone would’ve hit at least 10 by now. If not 12, or even more. I guess with the splash brothers sidelined, insane three-point shooting has taken a bit of a hit overall.

One of the other players who hit 9 was James Harden. If you can name the other one without looking it up, you will be awarded one (1) DownToBuck credit. Remember, DownToBuck credits are redeemable for DownToBuck tokens, which can be used to open DownToBuck loot-boxes, which contain absolutely nothing. I don’t deal in microtransactions, sorry, talk to 2K if you want pseudo-gambling garbage infesting your NBA experience.

But back to Robinson: his 7 threes in the second quarter is one of the greatest individual feats of the season, rivaling stuff like Damian Lillard’s 60, whichever Luka Doncic performance was most insane, and the time Carmelo Anthony hit a bucket. The Cavaliers were only pretending to defend him on some of threes, and not defending him at all on the remainder. Yeah, he’s a role-player, so you don’t have to stick to him like you do Jimmy Butler, but once he hit a few threes, don’t you think they would make it a priority to at least make sure someone is standing in his vicinity at all times? The last three he hit, his only one of the second half, I don’t think there was anyone defending on his side of the court.

But even if the defense was lackluster, Robinson still had to actually hit the shots, and he did. Sadly, he fell one short of Mario Chalmers’ franchise record 10 threes. I made a video for that one, and if you acquire enough DownToBuck credits, maybe I’ll reupload it.
