Norman Powell 20 Points Full Highlights (11/23/2019)

Come on, Raptors fans. You have to get more hyped for Norman Powell. I understand that there are younger, undrafteder players on the roster who it is perhaps easier to get hyped for, but that doesn’t mean you can just ignore Powell. He’s averaging more points than ever, he’s got a bigger role than ever, just because he hasn’t been in the G-League, that means you don’t need to care about him?

They say that familiarity breeds contempt. Is that what’s happening with Powell, where the Raptors fanbase has seen so much of him that they’re tired of him? Tired of him enough that they don’t want to watch vids of him scoring 20 points (which is a lot of points)?

He has been on the Raptors for a long time. Longer than any other Raptor besides Kyle Lowry. Remember that ECF where they lost to the Cavaliers, not the year of LeBronto, but the year before that where they actually put up a fight kinda? That was the 2015-16 season, and the only dudes still around from that year are Powell and Lowry.

Powell is basically a Raptors legend at this point, when you look at how long he’s been with the team and the kind of playoff success they’ve had during that span. I may be using the term “legend” loosely, but what else can you expect from a world-renowned highlights legend?
