The Charlotte Hornets gave Terry Rozier a lot of money. In my view, any NBA contract is “a lot” of money, but this was a lot of money even by the high standards of NBA contracts. It was so much money that many mean people mocked both the franchise and the player for it.
I was one of those people, and I’m not sorry. Reason being: have you checked out how much money it is? I’m not going to put the amount here, because kids might be watching this video (attention kids: go back to watching Minecraft lets-plays; there is nothing for you here), but rest assured, it was a lot.
But I will say this in defense of the Hornets/Rozier: Rozier is actually producing at a fairly good rate, at least when it comes to points. What I’m trying to get at, is that it could be a whole heck of a lot worse. They could’ve gotten last year’s version of Rozier. Or rookie Rozier. Instead, they’re getting the most efficient and high-volume Rozier ever seen. He might be getting seriously outplayed by Devonte’ Graham, but so is everyone else on the roster, so I won’t blame him for that.
