Garrison Mathews Career High 28 Points Full Highlights (12/30/2019)

File this one away under “most unexpected scrub outbursts of 2019”. Garrison Mathews (who will forever be cursed to have his last name spelled incorrectly) had scored thirty points in his career before this game. That means he almost doubled his career scoring output in one game. I’m trying to stay calm right now but the sheer magnitude of the situation is causing my arms to spazz out at random intervals, so if there are any typos in this description, please bear with me. I have lost control of my limbs.

Even the overabundance of free throws in this video can’t dampen my excitement. Garrison Mathews scored 28! 22 of them were in the first half! Do you wanna know how many two-point field goals this dude had attempted before this game? Two! In ten games! I have never used this many exclamation points in my life!

The ‘Zards are OFFICIALLY my favorite team now. They just give minutes to any rando they find in the G-League or at the end of their bench, anybody who has any semblance of offensive ability at all, and they turn them into a player who can give you twenty points on any given night. It’s like those old Warriors teams in the pre-Curry era (also known as the “Ellis era”) where players you’ve never heard of scored fifteen points per game. Anybody and everybody can shoot threes. Nobody has to play defense if they don’t want to. No shot is a bad shot. Wins are just a byproduct of playing the most entertaining basketball the world has ever seen.

Is it too late to rename my channel to ZoneOfZards?
