A mere four days ago I wrote these words in the description of a Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk highlight video:
“Is it wrong of me to feel like these middling scoring performances from Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk are no longer exciting me?”
That sentiment still holds true today, except I have moved from simple boredom with Mykhailiuk’s underwhelming scoring totals to outright anger towards them. So now I’m going to write an open letter to him so that he understands my frustration.
“Dear Sviatoslav,
Dude. You’re getting minutes now. Would it be that hard to make more than four field goals? Look down the bench at Tony Snell. He’s as passive as they come, but even he is capable of scoring a respectable amount of buckets if he is called upon to do so. The fact that you can’t even match the production of Tony Snell should be unacceptable to you.
I know it’s easy for an armchair basketball analyst like myself to say “just score more buckets bro” like NBA defenses will simply let you score more buckets, but that’s what I’m saying. You’re in the NBA. You’re obviously skilled enough to sometimes score points. So it follows that you are skilled enough to sometimes score even more points.
If you insist to continue accumulating point totals in the low teens and no higher, I will have no choice but to suspend the uploadment of your highlight videos to my channel.
Sincerely,
-DownToBuck”
