Add another strike against the “Paul Millsap is Good” theory. Simultaneously, you can add a strike in favor of the “Paul Millsap is Ruining the Nuggets” theory. Because Jerami Grant just had another good game in the absence of Paul Millsap, the exact type of good game that he most definitely WASN’T having (or at least wasn’t having with any regularity) while Paul “Nuggets Ruiner” Millsap was in the lineup and ruining it with his overpaid oldness.
You might look at this ‘Ggets loss to the ‘Zlies and think “if Paul Millsap had been playing the Nuggets could have won this game.” But that thought is fraught with faulty logic because Grant had a much better game (21/4/4) than Millsap can be expected to have this season (season averages of 12/6/1). Are you on board with my “Millsap is Ruining the Nuggets” theory yet? You shouldn’t be, because it’s not a theory. It’s a real life fact, and facts don’t care if you support them or not. Facts or factual no matter whether they have 100% public support or 0% public support.
But if you really need more convincing, check out this stat: the Nuggets have won ZERO championships while Millsap is on the roster. If that’s not the textbook definition of a team-ruiner, I don’t know what is.
