Monte Morris 19 Points/7 Assists Full Highlights (2/2/2020)

Please excuse the delay in uploading this video. I wanted to actually watch the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl instead of just ignoring it like I usually do. And I have to say, if I was going to pick any one quarter of football the entire season to sit down and watch all the way through, I picked the right one. The Chiefs came back against the 49ers with a 21-point swing that brought joy to the denizens of Kansas City (both the Missouri and Kansas sides, I assume) and despair to the denizens of San Francisco.

This is my preferred outcome because I am a midwesterner and feel kinship with my midwestern brothers down in KC. Also, Bay Area sports have had too much success in recent years and the fans there don’t deserve any good things happening to them. So, as far as I’m concerned, all is right with the world.

Except all is not right. The Nuggets lost this game even though Monte Morris (who is a pure point guard) started in place of the injured Jamal Murray (who is a chuckery shooting guard being played out of position, or a “fake point guard”). How is this possible? Monte Morris “plays the right way”. He is a “good teammate”. He “gets other players involved”. Those are all good things that Jamal Murray doesn’t do, so losing to the Pistons should not have been possible.

I need to go re-evaluate my opinions.
