Ky Bowman 15 Points/7 Assists Full Highlights (2/23/2020)

Ky Bowman started off the season stronger than anybody thought he would, given his apparently dismal performance in Summer League that set expectations for him at a very low level. For the first two months of the season, it really seemed like the Warriors had pulled an extremely productive rookie out of thin air. He was maybe not “balling out”, but he definitely was just plain “balling”. There were even rumors that the Warriors instructed Bowman to suck in Summer League so that it would be easier to sign him.

Okay, so those rumors were never actually circulating, but now that I’ve said that, maybe my version of events will become fact. That’s how rumors start. Just one dude making stuff up for the fun of it. I make stuff up all the time and rarely get called out for it.

The last time Bowman scored in double digits was December 2. It’s been almost three months since he did anything of note on the court. His surprisingly hot start has cooled off significantly and now he’s just another mediocre rookie in a league that has no shortage of mediocre rookies. That stretch of games where he scored 16, 17, and 24 points? I barely remember it. The relentless badness of the Warriors has wiped it from my memory.
