The Bucks suck now. This may seem like a hasty proclamation, but believe me: I’m an expert on the topic of the Bucks and sucking. I’ve seen it so often, I know the signs. There are no false positives here: they just suck. And blow. But mostly suck. They can hardly even score 100 points anymore after doing it for a whole season straight.
In only a few short months, their season will be over, having gotten swept out of the playoffs with the final game featuring Norman Powell scoring 50 and Giannis Antetokounmpo going 1-for-15 from the free-throw line and three combined. Then the healing can begin. Antetokounmpo can pull a Durant and run to the team that kicked his butt in the playoffs, and the Bucks can build around the true star:
Pat Connaughton.
And Donte DiVincenzo.
But mostly Pat Connaughton.
It’s going to be better this way. Bucks bandwagoners might not think so, but they’ll be gone anyway, so who cares what they think? I’ve always said that the Bucks were more fun when they sucked, and I stand by that. The pressure of being a good team is too much for me, and with all these stars littering the roster, I don’t get to make as many vids for the Bucks as I want.
I’m frickin’ DownToBUCK, for crying out loud. It’s right there in the name of the channel. I want to make vids of DiVincenzo (and I have been, he’s the only Bucks role-player who can consistently put up decent performances these days) and all the other guys who have to live in the shadow of the MVP (Giannsi) and his ant-looking sidekick (Middleton) and the midget bowling ball (Bledsoe). Next year, I will get my chance.
Because DiVincenzo’s going to be averaging 18 a game. Book it.
