Jaren Jackson Jr. 33 Points Full Highlights (7/31/2020)

Jaren Jackson Jr. attempted 15 three-pointers this game. That ties a career high in 3PA that he originally set when he dropped 43 points on the Bucks (no, I am not still salty about that game, but thank you for your concern). Did he spend the four months of NBA postponeage doing nothing but practicing threes with that wonky middle-schooler form of his? For reference, Dirk Nowitzki, the most legendary shooting big of all time, only hit 15 3PA twice in his career. JJJ has matched that and he’s not even in year three.

I would love to rail against JJJ and tell him that he was shooting too many threes, but when you’re a 40% three-point shooter, that entitles you to as many attempts from behind the arc as you want. If coach argues, just put your hand in his face and say something about effective field goal percentage. Then walk away because you’ve automatically won the argument. If coach needs more convincing, show him the highlight video I made of you scoring 43 points. Note: this only works if you are literally the NBA player named Jaren Jackson Junior.

I secretly yearn for the day when JJJ’s weird-looking shot mechanics stop resulting in actual made buckets (no I am NOT salty STOP ACCUSING ME OF BEING SALTY), but that day might never actually arrive.

P.S. you only see five of JJJ’s six three-pointers in this video, not because of my own incompetence, but because of the incompetence of the people in the video truck, who decided to show a static background graphic while JJJ was drilling a triple. Put me in that truck and I promise to only hit the right buttons at the right times, not the wrong buttons which cause things like that to happen. I know the difference between right and wrong buttons. My parents raised me RIGHT.
