Jonathan Isaac 16 Points Full Highlights (7/31/2020)

One of the underrated things about COVID-19 is that it has the potential to turn season-ending injuries into non-season-ending injuries. A miracle of modern medicine! You thought Kevin Durant was done? Faugh! With so many extra months to rehab, there’d be no way he wouldn’t want to return and lead the Nets to…

Actually since Durant is a total cupcake he’s still sitting out. But Jonathan Isaac is no cupcake, and he’s back from that devastating knee injury that honestly kinda seemed like not only a season-ender, but a career-ender when it happened. It helped that he didn’t end up needing surgery, I guess.

A large part of the Magic faithful’s hopes are riding on Isaac’s skinny shoulders. He represents Orlando’s best chance to become something more than they are now. Nikola Vucevic, Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, those guys are fine and good, but they’re known commodities. Isaac is a known commodity on defense, and that alone makes him a valuable player. Add in some offense? He could be an All-Star. He could be more. I’m not even going to make Giannis comparisons because Magic fans have done enough of that ever since they drafted the dude.

With all that said, this offensive display by Isaac has to be encouraging. 16 points in 16 minutes, you don’t need an advanced math degree to know that means a point per minute.
