Check out these choice quotes from my latest Terrence Ross highlight video:
“My absolute burning hatred for free throws.”
“…My highlight videos are repeatedly getting ruined by players and their stupid tendency to get fouled and shoot free throws.”
“…Some way to play the game of basketball without free-throws.”
And yet, here I am again, making a highlight video that contains way too many free throws. Some people would say I’m cursed by god and that’s why I’m tormented endlessly by free throws, but that’s not true. I am abandoned by god. That is the only explanation.
Fred VanVleet had an absolutely Hardenesque performance today, scoring 36 points while only making eight shots (seven of them being the three-point variety) and going a perfect 13-for-13 from the welfare stripe. Despite my personal objections to the manner in which he scored these points, it’s an inarguable fact that this game represents one of the best games, if not THE absolute best game, of VanVleet’s career. Some team is going to pay big bucks to VanVleet in the off-season, and while they might eventually regret giving an undersized player like VanVleet 25 million dollars per year, they’ll at least appreciate his tenacity, grit, and gnomish body.
P.S. there’s a special secret hidden message in the thumbnail of this video that, when decoded, reveals the name of the team that VanVleet will join in the off-season.
