Jaren Jackson Jr. 22 Points Full Highlights (8/3/2020)

Jaren Jackson had two rebounds in this game. Two. That’s it. In 31 minutes. That’s not a lot of rebounds. That’s a Brook Lopez amount of rebounds. He also scored a Brook Lopez amount of points, but that’s beside the point right now.

Remember: this is the NBA. If you want rebounds, rebounds can be yours. Just ask Russell Westbrook. There’s no way that he’s a “better” rebounder than JJJ, but he decided that rebounds were something that he wanted, so he’s taking them. The old sports cliche about “wanting” things more than your opponent might apply here. Jackson might be more worried about the next Eurostep or spin move that he’s going to pull of than putting his booty on somebody, boxing out, and grabbing boards.

I don’t want to brag, but I average AT LEAST three or four rebounds per pickup game. And that’s not just because there are tons of rebounds to be had because everyone (besides me) is a total brickmaster. It’s because I WANT IT more than everyone else.
