I think Jerami Grant needs to be given more credit for steadily developing from a lanky, raw player on the 76ers, who only had athleticism and nothing else, to a still lanky, still athletic wing player with a well-rounded scoring game. I feel like I’ve given him credit for this before but I’m too lazy to check. In any case, I’m giving him credit RIGHT NOW. I’m doing my part to ensure that accomplishments are recognized. What are YOU doing to bring more attention to Grant’s rather astounding development as a player?
Here are some ideas of things you could do (note that I don’t have to do any of them because writing this video description is my contribution to the effort):
-Stand on busy street corners holding a sign that says “Honk if you think that Jerami Grant is better than Paul Millsap” (will get the most honks if you live in Colorado)
-Every time you throw a balled up bit of paper into a trash can, yell “Jerami Grant, forward for the Denver Nuggets!” rather than “Kobe!”. It takes longer to say, but not everybody knows who Jerami Grant is, so you have to explain yourself
-Somehow trick the NBA into letting you sing the National Anthem before a game, then just yell “JERAMI GRANT’S DEVELOPMENT IS REALLY IMPRESSIVE” into the microphone and run off the court (this probably has to wait until the pandemic is over)
-Start an NBA highlights channel on YouTube called “Grants Versus Zombies” where you only upload videos of Jerami Grant and Jerian Grant. Since Jerian Grant sucks now it would effectively be a Jerami-Grant-only channel
-Hack basketball-reference to make Grant’s rebounding stats not look like total poo
Those are all easy things. Easy enough that I could do them but I won’t because I already did my part. Time to step up, guys.
