DTB’S FUN FACT OF THE DAY:
Michael Porter Jr. just scored thirty points in two consecutive games. The last player to achieve that feat was the Bucks’ Carlos Delfino in the 2011-12 season.
Believe it or don’t.
Right now I’m hoping that all the Nuggets that are currently injured decide to stay injured for just a little bit longer. Especially Jamal Murray. Don’t rush that return bro. Will Barton, nobody likes you so maybe you should just go home. Gary Harris, you’re probably most effective sitting on the bench giving fist-bumps and butt-slaps to MPJ. You can do that just as well injured as you can healthy.
All of those guys would be more than happy to take shots and touches away from MPJ, but, as we can see, MPJ deserves as many shots and touches as he can possibly handle. Any “volume scorers” competing with MPJ for those things should have their roles drastically limited so that MPJ can break Delfino’s record and go for three, four, or even a THOUSAND straight games scoring over thirty. The only thing that can stop him is incompetent coaching, traumatic back injuries, or Nikola Jokic getting jealous that there’s a new star on the team.
In betrayal of my Bucks fandom, I already got “Denver Nuggets 2020 NBA Champions” tattooed on my eyelids. Nobody better mess this up.
