I’m not gonna be the guy who judges other dudes for their hair-styling choices, but I just want to confirm that everybody else is seeing what I’m seeing. Is Ben McLemore reining in his uncontrollable hair strands by tying them to the side of his head with a rubber band? Am I seeing this correctly?
I mean, I totally get it. Speaking as a guy with long hair that was once in the awkward stage where it resisted being controlled in any way, having hair hanging in your face while you’re trying to shoot three-pointers is the most annoying thing ever. And while it might make you feel like you’re in a shampoo commercial when you’re brushing the locks out of your face after every possession, really you just look like you’re distracted and uncomfortable. B-Mac figured out a way to resolve this issue, and if it works for him, that’s great.
But a rubber band? If it’s not a rubber band, it’s a flesh-colored hair tie. Not much better. If this had been planned out, he would have at least gone with a hair tie that matched the dark color of his hair.
And don’t think I got too caught up in McLemore’s hair issues to remember the most important thing about this game. Yep, that’s right. Total REVENGE GAME. McLemore did have some good times with the Kings, but it was mostly bad times, so he’s always itching to exact REVENGE on that particular franchise. REVENGE GAMES are the best.
