Final DTB video tally for the 2019-20 NBA regular season: 2034
Final DTB worth-watching video tally for the 2019-20 NBA regular season: 1 (this one)
Forget about all the other crap I made this season. Just forget about it. Actually, I’ve given you no choice, because I just took all the other vids I made this season and made them “private” so that only I can see them. I didn’t quite have the heart to full-on delete them, but I will soon I bet. Because they’re all worthless. From Melvin Frazier Jr. scoring 10 to Eric Gordon scoring 50, from yet another Dillon Brooks chuckfest to those random beast games from Jahlil Okafor, it all sucked. Sorry to everyone for wasting your time.
How was I supposed to know that the entire regular season, full of joy and heartbreak, of scrubs and superstars, could be so easily distilled into a single vid of Alize Johnson scoring 11 points, dishing 4 dimes, grabbing 17 boards, and blocking one shot so emphatically that the ball punched a hole through the stanchion? I did not foresee this, but it has now happened, and we don’t need other, inferior, highlight videos.
It is with this vid that I bid farewell to the 2019-20 regular season (since I have been informed that the play-in game does not count as a regular season game). It’s kind of a shame that all the work I put in ended up being redundant, considering the quality of this video, but I’m at peace with the situation. It was all worth it in the end.
