Solomon Hill 21 Points Full Highlights (8/14/2020)

I just checked to see if Solomon “Hobo James Harden” Hill is still getting paid from that gigantic, unreasonable deal that the Pelicans gave him four years ago. Yep, he’s still getting paid from that deal, to the tune of more than thirteen million dollars this year. The Heat are paying him high-end starter money to average three points per game on 28% shooting off the bench. When you talk about contracts that are equivalent to shoveling bundles of cash into a smoldering tar pit, Hill’s contract definitely factors into those conversations.

Hill probably has some utility left as a defensive specialist. I say “probably” because I don’t care about defense, so I can give neither an honest nor informed assessment of the situation. His main utility for the Heat was to match contracts for the Andre Iguodala (LOL)/Justise Winslow (LOL)/Jae Crowder (LOL)/James Johnson (BEST PLAYER IN THE TRADE) trade, and now that he’s done that job, there’s not much left for him to do other than sit on the bench and over time become so unkempt that he gets mistaken for a homeless man.

If the above paragraphs make me sound salty, it’s because I am salty. Hill scored 21 points in this game (a Good Thing) but only made five shots (a Bad Thing). Most of his points came from the free throw line (a Very Bad Thing). Dealing with too many free throws always leaves me in a bad mood and it causes me to lash out. I’m not in my right mind. Just remember that when I launch into an eight-paragraph tirade attacking Heat fans for drinking the Andre Iguodala kool-aid to the point of drunkenness.
