Jeff Green 22 Points Full Highlights (8/18/2020)

Jeff Green has now had seven straight games scoring in double figures. I’m crossing my fingers that he does well in the Rockets’ next game as well and pushes that streak to eight. Why?

Because Jeff Green hasn’t scored in double figures in eight straight games since 2015.

(Isn’t that a cool stat? I found it on Stathead, which is basketball-reference’s statistical analysis tool. Yeah, that’s right, noobs. I’m totally paying for Stathead right now. And while I unearth cool and interesting NBA facts to delight my viewers, you’re sitting on your rear end, scratching your nuts, and wondering what drivel House of Highlights will next upload for your vacuous quasi-pleasure. If you even had money, which you don’t, it would go to buying more diapers for your incontinent self, rather than towards the creators of the best stats lookup website on the whole intertubes.)

When Green was on the Jazz this season, he was “Apathetic Jeff Green”, which is the Jeff Green that every team is afraid they’re gonna get when they sign him. But, in Houston, Jeff Green is “Engaged Jeff Green”, which is the Jeff Green that keeps getting signed to largeish contracts. “Engaged Jeff Green” is also the guy who sometimes shows up to help teams with their playoff runs. I say “sometimes” because he doesn’t always make the playoffs, and he doesn’t always help when he’s in the playoffs. He might help one game and then revert back to “Apathetic Jeff Green” who plays 25 minutes but only attempts four shots.

Houston fans better start praying that “Apathetic Jeff Green” doesn’t make a surprise appearance.
