OFFICIAL LIST OF BAD THINGS MARCUS SMART DID IN THIS GAME

-Flopped
-In true Zaza Pachulia fashion, undercut Fred VanVleet on a three-pointer, resulting in a flagrant foul
-Flopped again
-Played defense
-Flopped some more
-With the game over and done, got into a verbal altercation with Kyle Lowry, probably arguing about who the better flopper is, but Smart automatically is the loser in this scenario since it seemed like he was just salty about losing the game

It’s up to you whether you think the bad things listed above outweigh the good things (also listed above). How your personal value system evaluates this complex moral algebra will determine whether you think Marcus Smart was a GOOD PLAYER this game or whether he was a BAD PLAYER. Your opinion might also be colored by your team fandom; for example, Celtics fans will dismiss all the bad things I listed while placing undue value on the good things.

Personally, I will concede that Marcus Smart has been one of the most important players on the Celtics this series, and he’s probably more important than Kemba Walker at this point, but I reserve the right to desperately latch onto my own increasingly-unjustifiable dislike for him like a piece of driftwood in the middle of the Pacific ocean.
