Jordan Nwora 24 Points Full Highlights (4/9/2021)

The Bucks were playing without their entire starting lineup in this game, because you can just say that any player has “knee soreness” or a “big toe contusion” and the NBA won’t fine you, so you know that there are only two options for what could transpire:

Thing that could transpire #1: One or multiple Bucks bench players decide to “show out” and score many more points than is normally expected of them

Thing that could transpire #2: None of the Bucks’ bench players steps up and they lose to the Hornets by fifty

We are truly blessed that option #1 happened and that option #2 did not happen. Honestly, if the Hornets had been at full strength themselves (i.e. with Hayward and Ball available), option #2 would have gone into effect, and this game would have been a nasty throwback to the Brandon Jennings-era Bucks who couldn’t reliably score over eighty points in a game. Instead, the Bucks somehow scored 119 points on the back of rookie Jordan Nwora’s 24 points, and new acquisition Jeff Teague’s 19 points.

Note that I will not be making a highlight video for Jeff Teague. While it is true that I am DownToBuck and should be making highlight videos of Bucks players, I have an alter-ego called “NotDownToMakeJeffTeagueHighlights” whose sole purpose in life is to avoid making highlight videos featuring Jeff Teague. Since the command to not make Jeff Teague highlight videos has a higher specificity than the command to generally focus on Bucks players when making highlight videos, I literally cannot make a Jeff Teague highlight video without creating for myself a significant mental contradiction which will end up driving me to insanity.

Why would you care about Teague anyway when this second-round rookie is balling out like this? Nwora continues to surprise me by being able to play spot minutes without completely ruining the team. Sure, his on/off splits are negative, but they’re significantly less negative than Bryn Forbes’ on/off splits. More minutes for Nwora is something I would be in support of going forward.
