Yuta Watanabe Career High 21 Points Full Highlights (4/16/2021)

The title of the chapter* of my upcoming manga about Yuta Watanabe’s life where this career-high 21-point performance is depicted: “Dreams of Eagle and Lion Entwined”.

Who cares if that doesn’t actually mean anything? I don’t.

I’m still in the very early planning stages of this “Yuta Watanabe Life Story” project; I haven’t even (kick)started the Kickstarter yet. I said before that I would take the Kickstarter proceeds from this venture (estimated to be in excess of 200,000 American greenbacks) and abscond with them, but now that I think about it, maybe DTB’s well-known writing talents could be adapted to the high art (LOL) of Japanese manga. There’s an intersection of weeaboos and basketball fans that is surprisingly large, and the possibility for profit is too tempting.

I’m really gonna need someone else to do the art, though. I can handle the writing, probably, as long as you don’t make me use those unreadable squiggle-runes that purportedly convey meaning (I remain unconvinced), but I am no artist. Need proof of my non-artistry? Check this out: it’s TJ Warren teabagging Michael Jordan with the Larry O’Brien trophy while MJ’s championship rings crumble to dust around him. https://imgur.com/4GHmEKh. I drew that back in 2017, after Warren scored 40, and my art skills have not improved since then.

Rest assured that, when I do hire a well-known and widely-respected manga artist, I will direct him to include lots of big anime titties. This is a serious artistic venture, but everyone knows that all the best serious artistic ventures have ladies who can only be described as “bathykolpian”.

Of course, since Watanabe’s life is still ongoing (presumably, I guess I haven’t checked within the last five minutes), there will be the need to add additional chapters after the initial release. I’m hoping that he scores 30 some time before the end of this season, and he might, because if he can score 21, what’s 9 more points? But if he doesn’t, the most important chapter of all will have to be added. 30 points, as you all know, is the threshold to visit “The Hall Of The Thirty Point Scorers” and have a relaxing, if somewhat odd, chat with the keeper of the Hall, Carlos Delfino. I’ve been describing these visits in text, but having a drawn rendition would be a pseudo-religious experience for sure.

*Do mangas even have chapters? Or chapter-equivalents? I seriously don’t know; DownToBuck may be an irredeemable nerd in all aspects, but he is not a weeb.
